The Integrated Management System Policy
The main long-term effort of the Draka Kabely, s.r.o. company is to ensure that the company management system provides for timely, efficient and complete satisfaction of the needs of customers, while ensuring the absolute top quality of products thanks to qualified personnel. This should lead to the gradual increase in the market share of the company on the cable market and to the increase in the significance of the Draka Kabely, s.r.o. company within Draka Holding, N.V. When referring to the term "quality" in the Draka Kabely company, all employees should consider the quality of cables, conductors and cable assemblies, but also the quality of work, services, information, or the quality of production processes, non-productive processes or decision-making processes, or the quality of workers, technicians, organisational structure, strategy and corporate goals leading to the achievement of financial interests of Draka Holding, N.V. shareholders.
Aside from the satisfaction of the needs of our customers and the increase of satisfaction of fellow employees, we also strive for the protection of the environment, so that we can protect the "quality of life for the future generations".
Draka Kabely, s.r.o. manufactures and sells a broad portfolio of cables and conductors on the Czech and foreign markets. Therefore, its manufacturing activities affect (both directly and indirectly) the conditions of the environment at the place of production as well as in all countries where its products are sold. The main goal of the company is to create and maintain a system of management that reflects and ensures the fulfilment of measures the purpose of which is to provide and contribute to the protection of the environment to the greatest extent possible. All employees working on the premises of the company will be involved in the system, the idea is to have all employees aware of the significance and importance of their conscientious approach as a part of their work-related tasks and as a part of their competences with respect to environment protection.
As an integral part of the achievement of production tasks and the system of the care of employees we will ensure personal protective equipment and we will keep supporting and motivating our employees in strengthening awareness in terms of personal safety and health, fire safety and company asset protection.
A: For the area of production and sales of cable assemblies - the Wires and Cables Assemblies division
- To optimise production costs while respecting our clients' quality requirements in compliance with the quality system model according to ISO 9001.
- To become a leader in the process of implementation of new assemblies to production within the WCA division companies.
B: For the area of production and sales of cables up to 1kV - the Energy&Infrastructure and the Industrial divisions - To keep developing and strengthening the position of a reliable and respectable partner on the market and to remain flexible in terms of market changes and changes in the customers' requirements, thus improving the market share through a strong DRAKA brand image, better services, broader product portfolio and added value for products offered to wholesalers, electrician companies and end users.
- To encourage customer feedback and to make use of the information in the process of further improvement.
- To keep building the achieved market position on the principle of 100-percent product quality.
- To implement zero-error-rate strategy in the processes of production and sale.
- The technological and manufacturing process must comply with the related quality requirements defined by the respective European and U.S. standards, under the full compliance with the provisions of ČSN EN ISO 9001.
C: For the area of production and sales of car wires - the Automotive & Aviation division - To fully respect and improve the specifics of research, development, sale, manufacture and quality in the automotive industry, whereas particular attention is paid to permanent satisfaction of particular needs of our customers, especially in the area of logistics and in compliance with the quality system model according to the standard number ČSN ISO/TS 16949. To coordinate the activities in these areas in coordination with sister companies of Draka Holding N.V.
D: For the area of environment protection (environmental policy)
- To keep improving environmental characteristics and the prevention of pollution in compliance with ISO 14001.
- To seek opportunities with respect to the reduction, and to actually reduce energy and material consumption, to implement technologies and processes that are environmentally friendly, if appropriate with respect to the activities related to the manufacture of cables, conductors and cable assemblies and if effective with respect to the related costs incurred.
- In case of the possibility of significant risks, to implement and to comply with emergency plans in cooperation with emergency authorities, institutions concerned or local communities, and to prevent the occurrence of emergency situations.
- To consider environmental protection requirements in the process of development and production in the entire company, as well as in relation to suppliers.
- To carry out environmental impact assessments for materials, products, processes, emissions and waste production in the process and to carry out environmental objective analyses and the actual figures achieved and to consider the feasibility of the use of state-of-the-art technologies available.
- To document our environmental policies and to make employees familiar with these policies, to educate, train and motivate them, so that they may carry out their tasks in the most environmentally friendly manner, and to encourage them to save natural resources.
- To make the general public familiar with our environmental policies; and to inform the general public and to communicate with the authorities concerned in case of any serious environmental aspect.
- To review the activities of the company on a regular basis, as to whether its environmental policies are complied with and realised in all areas of the activities of the company.
The company will earmark the necessary personnel and financial resources for the purposes of its environmental policies and it will make use of the services of companies authorised in the sector of environmental protection, in the capacity of advisers and providers of services in relation to environmental protection.
E: For the area of occupational health and safety, fire prevention and the protection of health of employees
- To seek, evaluate and minimise and to make employees familiar with risks within the system of occupational health and safety.
- To implement and to keep developing preventive measures under the given operating conditions and to implement safety aspects in due time prior to the introduction of new technologies, including activities, products, processes, workplaces, machinery, etc.
- To pay attention to responsibilities of the company management as well as all employees in the process of fulfilment of particular requirements in terms of occupational health and safety and fire prevention.
- To implement the system pursuant to OHSAS 18001, to implement the requirements of the holding and the best experiences from sister companies within the company, as they also go beyond the requirements stipulated by statutory regulations.
In order to ensure that the aforementioned objectives are fulfilled the company will implement the continuous improvement system, it will review its status and the conditions of customer need satisfaction and it will earmark sufficient resources for the aforementioned purposes.
The basic prerequisite for the realisation of this policy is the compliance with the relevant statutory and other regulations, as well as other requirements in terms of quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety and fire prevention in cooperation with the coordination bodies of Draka Holding, N.V. that are related to the activities of the company.
The achievement of the aforementioned objectives will be ensured through responsible approach of all employees of the company, their loyalty, discipline and willingness to comply with this system within their tasks, particularly by informing their colleagues and superiors as required.
